ashley + kris getting married

Ashley and Kris got married at the amazing Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, CA.  Eric and I have known Ashley since high school days and getting to meet Kris during the engagement shoot was great.  Their wedding was styled and planned by friends and the personal touches throughout the wedding were wonderful.  I was so honored to have been a part of their celebration. To see the photo booth images click here.

And now here is the featurette shot by Joe Hewes and Eric Whedbee, edited by Eric Whedbee.

Eric and I had the privilege to work with Joe Hewes again at Ashley and Kris’ Ace Hotel wedding.  I love photo backdrops at weddings and the props were a lot of fun.  Images taken by Joe Hewes and Keiko Brodeur.  For the full list of photos click here.

a day in montreal // 35mm

The husband and I decided to take a stroll one day, I think it was around his birthday. We went down our street to take the metro, only to find over 100,000 Quebec students on strike a block from our apartment.  I just so happened to have my 35mm Canon AE-1 camera, and quickly began snapping shots (you can tell by the lack of focus).  The Quebec government is planning to raise tuition 75%.  A lot of reports on this news have always made it necessary to mention that Quebec has the lowest tuition in North America.  Whether that’s true or not, I think students in the US, who are paying thousands upon thousands of dollars each year for tuition, should learn from this Quebec protest.  Over 200,000 students are protesting and marching around the city for affordable education.  Rather than giving into student debt, American students might want to try this out.  Can’t hurt.

After the students passed through our streets, we continued our walk, and photographed the city. Montreal can be a lot of fun sometimes.

we went to a cabin // 35mm

We went to a friend’s cabin in the winter.  Quebec countryside is quite beautiful, especially when you have a frozen lake all to yourself.  Look at what the freezing temperatures did to that last intax photo!  Images shot on my humble Canon AE-1, except for the Fuji Instax Wide images.

last weekend in palm springs

I was in Palm Springs last weekend to shoot an incredibly amazing wedding at the Ace Hotel.  I hope to share more with you soon!

cambria + garrett getting married : part two

Cambria and Garrett’s wedding was truly a fun and energetic celebration including tacos, rapping toasts, choreographed dancing, and glow sticks.  It was such an honor and pleasure to photograph their wedding.

cambria + garrett getting married : part one

I met Cambria and Garrett for the very first time on the weekend of their marriage.  Within the first five minutes of meeting them and their family, I could instantly see the overwhelming love between the couple and the love that surrounded them.  Cambria and Garrett had such a fun and energetic wedding that was amazing to be a part of.  Stay tuned for more from this Southern California wedding.

ashley + kris // engaged

Ashley and Kris are amazingly kind people, with beautiful faces and  great television taste.  We drove out to Joshua Tree, CA to shoot their

desert engagement photo session to match their upcoming wedding to be held at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs.
