“I don’t just love photography, I love stories and how artfully they are told. As soon as I learned how to write, I wrote stories – good and terrible, but they were mine. I drew out pictures of my characters and assigned them their appropriate uniforms. In high school, I traded in my stick figure drawings for a Canon AE-1, setting up my stories on 35mm film. I styled and posed my best friends and drove them out to the deserts of Southern California, and took their portraits.
In college I studied creative writing, fashion design, and photography… I have been in college for a long time. I was never a fan of one hobby or passion because there is too much in this world to experience. I live for cinema, fashion, photography, and all other story-telling mediums and I focus all of my inspirations into my images.
With the stress of a wedding day, it can be difficult to remember every moment if it weren’t for the wedding photographer. Glancing through these photos is like reliving every beautiful and spontaneous moment, from the way the groom looked at his bride for the first time, to how much frosting really was all over the bride’s face. Over the past couple of years I have planned my sister’s wedding, my wedding, and have other weddings lined up to plan. I know how much work goes into all the decorations and the details. My camera will make sure to capture those 1,000 Japanese paper cranes you and your family members folded, or the beautiful lace appliques your mother sewed onto your wedding dress. All of the personal details of the wedding are what makes the wedding memorable.
Whatever the occasion, I approach each subject with the same wonderful enthusiasm and it’s my goal to photograph those moments just as you lived them: genuine, alive, and beautiful.”
